We have got great responses from all of you for donations to save little children with critical medicine as well as other urgent medical needs across the country. Thank you for doing your part and helping those in need!

We understand our responsibility to keep you informed and have been sharing updates with you so that we can all understand the efforts and the allocation of your donations.

The status of the first 3 donation arrangements to the hospitals are listed below

DONATION (1) UPDATE: MEDICINE FOR Cardio-thoracic Intensive Care unit, general Hospital

Urgent antibiotics (Payment confirmed by supplier - delivery to be arranged)

~ Meropenem 1G (Meronem IV 1G)

~ Linezolid 2mg (Zyvox 2mg/ml inf.300ml(600mg) CI Bags

~ Sulbactum & Cefoperazone (Magnex 2g Inj

Urgent Medical consumables listed below were released today (see attached payment slip)

~ Micro Sensor Card: CCS-Complete (42033)

~ Prime Cal-Pack: CCS-Comp (300 Sample Pk)

The total amount released for this hospital needs = LKR 1.496 mil (USD 4,519.87)

We are working with the consultant of the hospital to hand off the medicine within the next few days and will share updates with you as we receive them.

DONATION (2) UPDATE: MEDICINE FOR Children's Units in 3 hospitals

Medicine ordered from suppliers

~ Meropenem 500mg (Meronem IV Vial 500mg) (1000 units) - (pending payment to the supplier by tomorrow EST)

~ Human Albumin (low salt) CSL Behring 20% 50ml (350 units donated out of a total 500 unit shortagePayment of USD 14,000 for Human Albumin was released today (see attached transfer slip)

The following hospitals will benefit from Albumin supply once we arrange for the delivery

1. Lady Ridgeway Hospital - 150 vials

2. Teaching Hospital Ragama - 100 vials

3. Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama - 100 vials

The total amount planned to be released for this donation = LKR 10 mil (USD 30,306)

The hand-off to each hospital by our SL representative will be taking place within the week and we will share details and photos as we receive them.

DONATION (3) UPDATE: MEDICINE FOR Apeksha Cancer Hospital

Medicine ordered from the supplier (see attached transfer slip)

~ Xelpac 100mg - 100 vials

The total amount released to the supplier is LKR 1.217mil (USD 3,727.85)

We are working with the contact doctor of the hospital to hand off the medicine within the next few days and will share updates with you as we receive them.

A total of LKR 7.1 mil (USD 21,447) from the donations through Facebook fundraiser, Gofundme as well as SL bank account.
