URGENT surgical materials for Batticoloa Teaching Hospital : DONATION (7) COMPLETION
_________________________________________
We were informed that the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital is missing many of the medical consumables for weeks now. For the burn wards, essentials like Vasline Gauze that is used for treatment have become a commodity that the hospital cannot afford. The doctors are using alternatives that have not been used over the entire life of their professional career to keep up with the needs in the Eastern regions of Sri Lanka.
As a quick action, with your donations, we were able to allocate some of their basic urgent needs and source within a week and send them from Colombo. At the hand-off to the Director of Teaching Hospital-Batticaloa, Dr.(Mrs). K.Ganeshalingam in the presence of Dr. Praveen Wijesinghe (Senior consultant) and fellow doctors of the hospital.
We are grateful to each one of you, who trusted and donated in various means for this cause through our FB fundraiser! Thank you! We have attached the hand-off photos, quotes, bank slips, and invoices for your reference. (The acknowledgment letter from the hospital will follow shortly) Thank you very much!
