Benefit Drive - 2024 - Kandy Distribution

Words cannot express our gratitude and joy for the successful coordination of a remarkable initiative in the Central Province! 💝 Last week, the hardworking Development Officers of Madadumbara carried out a heartfelt mission, delivering 20 boxes of clothing, shoes, and toys to 225 families across twenty areas in the Madadumbara division. The effort was carefully coordinated to ensure these essential items reached those who needed them the most.

In addition to providing comfort to the families, the used toys and educational supplies were given to a local pre-school, providing young children with new opportunities for play and learning during their daily activities. This initiative has touched so many lives, and we must say that it has been the largest distribution we have undertaken so far.

The generosity behind this shipment came from many hearts across the United States—clothes and supplies from Texas, North Carolina, Chicago, Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Boston all found their way to the hands of those who needed them. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to this cause, as well as our dedicated volunteers who went above and beyond to make it happen.

Special thanks go to Amila Ruwanka for providing on-ground support in Kandy, and to Harshana and Pramila for their invaluable help from Colombo. This was a unique project that required more manpower than monetary contributions, and thanks to everyone's unwavering commitment, it was a true success.
