Kudos to Nadee and Diluk's SLR 1.68 mil fundraiser to Help general hospital Ampara with urgent equipment to combat the COVID outbreak. DGH Ampara is central to Sri Lanka's east coast and is one of the primary hospitals where a significant amount of critical patients are being transferred from remote rural areas nearby on a daily basis. The need for the machines and equipment that was supported will be much more needed today than the time this fundraiser was created for the simple reason that, today, there are 100s of covid patients reporting daily, and with the lack of infrastructure and limited resources, innocent people are left without a fair chance at life!
This fundraiser is special, coz it's timely, and over 8500 USD was collected within a matter of days and the effort of the duo Nadee and Diluk has been incredible to make this initiative a success with addressing the highest priorities for the hospital. You guys really made this possible. Your targets set were achieved with flying colors. We were able to fulfill the following machines and equipment which were essential but short in the unit.1 CPAP Ventilator - SLR 1,240,000
1 Umec10 Multipara monitor - SLR 268,5002 Infusion Pumps - SLR 170,000
Total funds raised - USD 8,506 (SLR 1.679 Million)
We are grateful for the Meditech vendor team who have been trying to keep up with the limited supply for these machines and at the same time have been kind enough to cater to our constant demands to ensure that the best possible solutions are offered at a great price. Thank you!
Thank you to all of you who donated to this great cause and Help us save countless human lives by donating to this fundraiser. We had 2 campaigns via Facebook and Gofundme running in parallel for this initiative and the breakdown and the contributor lists are attached for reference.
