BACK TO SCHOOL 2021

BOOKLIST DONATION (2) - The children in Habarawatta Watakoluwagama village school has a lot of families who are at the poverty level and struggling to meet ends meet. Due to the current pandemic, their daily jobs and other unsteady sources of income are impacted heavily

Our volunteers in the Anuradhapura district have worked with the school principal to obtain the list of 39 handpicked kids are from families that are struggling to send them to school without help. And a ceremony was held to hand over the booklists.

It was a wonderful event held at their school and the children and Raise Sri Lanka are indebtedly thankful for the donations from the contributors who especially came together to make this initiative a success.

Also special thanks to Thakshila Sewwandi for her help in coordinating this whole effort with her group of wonderful friends in Anuradhapura during the pandemic and ensuring that the staff and most importantly the children take precautions and adhere to the social gathering protocols.

May all of you who donated for this worthy cause never have to face a situation to think twice when pursuing education and may you have an abundance of resources and potential to make your dreams a reality. Thank you for sending these little children to school next year!
