UPCOMING - The children of Sandamalgama Vidyalaya will get a classroom this week so they can start school!

This rural school has two halls. All 125 students across all grades are fit into it. As we were mentioning earlier, this school has been closed for the longest time due to financial difficulties and lack of resources. But now, thankfully due to the support and donations that the school has been getting for the past several years, the number of students attending school is increasing.

And this year to accommodate a new batch of little students, certain adjustments need to be done to their hall 1. It is fulfilling to think that children are finally getting some education, and the least we can do is provide the infrastructure to encourage these children to come to school.

As the first step through the bday fundraiser of Shehan, we provided the books for the children. And as for step 2, by providing iron bars and other fittings to convert the small hall to a closed classroom, they can adhere to the standards to keep the children safe from the environmental hazards and animals around the rural village.

We hope we can complete the project in the next couple of days so that the kids can come to school. Stay with us!
