Stephanie's bday fundraiser booklists for Waththekale vidyalaya

We are happy to share these amazing pictures of the event held at Badulla with 101 children of Waththekale Vidyalaya, Badulla. The school is in a low-income zone and they have been trying to get the school books for the children since January. Hard truths children society has brought this to our attention and we have been holding off since our 2023 book donation rounds were complete.

Fortunately for the children, with her birthday around the corner, Stephanie stepped in to take up this request of supporting children. She mentioned to us that helping children is a cause that is close to her heart and she gladly created a fundraiser for which her donation matched up to $500! She raised USD 1,150 (initial goal was USD 1,000) and with that 101 children got school books for the new year as well as chocolate cake in celebration of her bday and also a meal. The children were beyond happy to be part of her special day and they called us out in their speech of gratitude stating that it feels like “Avurudu for them today”.. it was an emotional moment for our team..
