Thank you for bringing Avurudu Back to Theldeniya

The prevailing economic crisis in Sri Lanka makes it harder for everyone irrespective of their social status. It is even becoming harder for Sri Lankans that have a low income and who thrive on a daily salary.

We wanted to help 100 -150 families for Avurudu 2022. The "Second" round of Avurudu donations went out to 40 families in Theldeniya, Kandy District with minimal supplies to have a decent meal during the Awurudu season.

We are doing what we can, where we can to help these families.. And thank you to all of you who responded quickly to our fundraiser to make this Avurudu a little brighter for these families. We manage to collect over LKR 800,000 in total for this initiative

Our volunteers Amila Ruwanka & Udayanga helped us to coordinate the efforts. For this initiative, the Development officers of Theldeniya and fellow volunteers worked very hard and we are very thankful for all of them

We are continuing these efforts during this week followed by another 60 families. We will share the list of contributors and bills along with the final donation round.

Stay with us for more updates..
