Rajini, Hansanie, and Chayanika decided to open a fundraiser for their birthdays celebrated in the month of September. The funds were raised to assist the medical needs of 15 year old Sathruwan, who is currently undergoing treatment at the pediatric ward of Apeksha Hospital Maharagama.

We are happy to announce that we were able to donate medicine worth LKR 370,000 for a round of chemotherapy prescribed by the oncologist Dr Prabhani Maddumarachchi, achieving the primary goal of the fundraiser. We look forward to utilising the balance amount collected for the next rounds of chemotherapy and other medicines as prescribed by the oncologists.

This donation was coordinated by Dr Prabhani Maddumarachchi and Dr Sandini Gunaratne. The medicines were handed over by Mrs Nandani Perara (Rajini's mother) to Dr Nayana Dissanayake of Apeksha Hospital (at ward 16) in the presence of Sathruwan’s mother. The invoice from the pharmacy and official acknowledgement letter from the Apeksha Hospital are attached herewith.

We wish to thank Rajini, Hansanie, and Chayanika for agreeing to raise funds for this meritorious cause. We also like to extend our gratitude to all our friends and well wishes who joined hands with Raise Sri Lanka for this fundraiser.

We also hope that Sathruwan will have a speedy recovery
