DONATION (2) UPDATE: Antibiotics for 4 Children's hospitals

Medicine ordered

~ Meropenem 500mg (Meronem IV Vial 500mg) (1000 units)

~ Human Albumin (low salt) CSL Behring 20% 50ml (350 units donated out of a total 500 unit shortage)

Payment of USD 17,020 for Meropenem was released today (see attached transfer slip)

The following hospitals will benefit from antibiotic supply once we arrange for the delivery

Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children – 400 vials

Intensive care unit, TH Karapitiya, – 200 vials

Intensive care unit, Apeksha Hospital, Maharagama - 200 vials

Intensive care unit, TH Peradeniya - 200 vials

The total amount released for this donation = LKR 10 mil (USD 30,306),

The hand-off to each hospital by our SL representative will be taking place soon and we will share details and photos as we receive them.

Although this is a small amount considering the total requirement of the country, the patients who receive these treatments will be very grateful for receiving the most urgent medicine to save their lives.
