In your own words "I believe that there's a direct correlation between providing an education and reduction in poverty, hence the preference towards such projects." -~ this is a very strong message we all would carry in our hearts.

Thank you for your generous fundraiser to raise USD 1007 to help three rural schools in the Central province. These schools have been struggling due to the pandemic to keep up with the studies for the children as they do not have the proper infrastructure and most children were missing their grades as books and online studies were not in place.

1. Alahara Bakamuna Sirikanduyaya Primary school

- Computer (they had a laptop that was government funded but it's not operating anymore) so now a new Computer studies subject will be introduced for the children for the very first time!

- Photocopy machine to make copies of the books and study material for the children as their parents cannot afford to buy for them.

2. Patunugama Kanishta school

3. Somawathi Primary school

Audio Speaker and amp for the school for the children and their daily meetings and concerts, extracurricular activities and to replace the radio that they find hard to listen to as a classroom.

The last two schools do not allow for any outside visitors and therefore the equipment was couriered to avoid delays. We will share photos as we receive them.

We are indeed grateful to fellow volunteer team - @Hard Truths and @harshana for all your hard work to get permissions for these schools and conducting PCR tests, and other due diligence to make sure that due to the pandemic these valuable efforts are not further delayed. You guys make things happen!
