PROJECT COMPLETION: Request to build walls between classrooms - Madawachchiya Vidyalaya

As part of our effort to develop 10 different schools in Northeast provinces, Madawachchiya Vidyalaya has been one of the main schools with 300 students that we have been focusing on for extending your help. Prior to this project, the classes were held in two undivided halls, leading to overcrowding and disruptions during lessons. RSL supported construction of permanent walls to separate the halls into individual classrooms.

Due to the nature of the assignment, to ensure that the construction was done according to the expected standards the required approvals at the project completion were obtained by the zonal educational ministry through their very keen principal Mr. Jinadasa with the guidance of Harshana Lakmal from Hard Truths who are behind this administrative execution.

The funding for this project is through our Raise SL monthly member donations. And within the next few days, you will be able to see the walls coming up nicely once we share timely updates with you. The total expected cost of this project is Rs. 297,750 (approx 945 USD).

If you wish to be part of projects like this to help uplift rural children's education, join hands with us as a monthly member or donate through our Facebook page. Or donate through
