“HELP DONATE FOR FOOD” Covid food packs distribution (5)

Atalugama bandaragama, Banbaranayakapura, Kiriwana wasama, Polhena wasama and Tharala wasama were areas that had a lot of covid impacts and high exposure. Most of these families have financial difficulties and special conditions where they are single moms, pregnant moms, families with disabilities and older people, people on day jobs, or no income.

Thank you to the following members for today’s donation

Dananjaya J Hettiarachchi

Hasanki Jayawickrema

Anushika De Silva Kulasekara

Indumini Ranathunga

Special thank you goes to Jeewan Kanchana for coordinating with fellow members of SL Army across these areas to ensure smooth execution and giving us updates and bills, photos etc.

It has been a hard time and life has not been fair for these individuals who have been taking like on a day to day basis. We are closing the fundraising of 150 Covid ration packs and 400 vegetable packs worth over Rs. 400,000 distributed over the past week. We want to thank everyone who was part of this initiative over time. And definitely, this is a short term solution. But if we could get together with you and fed the families for a week, we could be happy looking back.

And Thank you, everyone, who supported us, spread the word, found us volunteers to Handle operations, got special passes etc. Thank you and may you stay safe!
